This High Sierra guide is compatible with the latest hardware from Coffee Lake all the way back to Ivy Bridge CPU’s. If you never built a hackintosh check out our list of compatible parts or the build list for hackintosh friendly parts. The only downside I’ve noticed so far is that the screen waking can be a little slower then on Sierra. High Sierra adds some pretty useful features like a log out button. There is a patch available, but it did not work for me. There is a one-second display garble at the end of the boot just before the login screen. The only solution is to replace it with any natively supported one, e.g. BCM94352HM with FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext. The existing WiFi card (Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160) is not compatible. Mount your EFI partition on HDD/SSD, go to EFI -> Microsoft -> Boot and rename bootmgfw.efi to bootmgfw-orig.efi (as recommended by RehabMan) Go to BIOS -> BOOT and make sure that Clover boot entry is at the top of the list (see above in Post Install section)

In my case Windows rewrote my BOOT setting in BIOS, so that the system boots into Windows directly. If you already did so and Windows refused to install, try to delete this partition first leaving an empty space, and then restart the setup again. Note: Do not create Windows partition by MacOS Disk Utility. Run Windows Setup and install it to an empty GPT partition. Restart and press F12 to select UEFI USB. Go to BOOT -> UEFI BOOT and move the Clover boot entry to the top (F5/F6).Ĭreate bootable USB drive which can boot in UEFI mode and drop Windows installation there. Press 'View Boot Option Properties' and input path EFI\BOOT\BOOTX64.efi. Under BOOT press 'Add Boot Option' and type Clover (or any name you want). Remove installation USB, restart and enter BIOS Setup with F2. If you are familiar with editing the ist, at this point you may wish to remove unnecessary patches and fixes. Use CloverConfigurator to generate unique SMBIOS values - MacbookAir6,1 or MacBookPro11,1 should work with this laptop specs - and transfer these values to your ist.
